AWE's Innovations in Efficiency Webinar Series spotlights our business partners who offer forward-thinking solutions for efficient water use. In the latest installment, hear from two companies working toward effective, affordable water efficiency upgrades in commercial and industrial facilities.

Metrus Energy offers Sustainable Energy as a Service (SEaaS), a pay-for-performance structure that enables customers to complete energy efficiency and water conservation projects with no upfront cost. This includes the pumps and controls to move water, consumables that can be avoided by technology improvements as well as any infrastructure that can be quantified in a kWh/Therm/or unit of volume. This presentation will explore some of the similarities and differences between traditional energy performance contracting and SEaaS. This will include differences in funding, how transactions are structured and project development steps to take in exploring your options.

Maddaus Water Management will provide easy tips for utilities to virtually guide business to take control of their water use by leveraging existing operation and maintenance routines. Businesses rely on water to perform daily operations and provide quality services; however, it is common for equipment that uses water to leak or malfunction. Over the past year, many leak detection assistance programs have been suspended due to COVID, leaving businesses to fend for themselves. In response, utilities are working to provide virtual assistance to support customers and continue moving toward conservation goals.
