California Water Service Earns Platinum-Level Recognition for Implementation of the AWWA G480 Water Conservation and Efficiency Program Standard

Published: June 15, 2026

We were proud to recognize the Cal Water team last week at California Water Efficiency Partnership's Peer to Peer Conference in Napa. As the first AWE member to achieve this recognition under the newly updated AWWA G480-25 standard, Cal Water is helping demonstrate what a comprehensive, data-driven water efficiency program can look like in practice.

The G480 standard offers a practical roadmap for utilities committed to conservation excellence from system operations to customer engagement and education. Interested in learning more about the certification process and how your utility can get involved? Reach out to research@a4we.org.
