AWE and Rachio Announce Collaboration to Offer Discounted Smart Irrigation Controllers to Alliance Members

The Alliance for Water Efficiency and Rachio are excited to offer a cost-share program to members of AWE, similar to the direct distribution program currently offered by AWE's chapter, the California Water Efficiency Partnership (CalWEP).

Now, AWE members across the country can enjoy discounted prices on Rachio 3 Smart Sprinkler Controllers. Rachio controllers are certified by EPA WaterSense and SWAT tested. These cutting-edge devices allow users to check on and run their sprinklers from anywhere in the world on a smartphone (or with the Rachio web app). Rachio is so intelligent that it skips waterings when there is plenty of moisture in the soil. It automates the amount of water that vegetation needs to stay healthy and green, and it integrates with many other smart home products!

AWE has negotiated a discounted base price for each device and Participating Agencies can choose the level of cost-share they wish to provide to add to the customer’s discount. Furthermore, AWE and participating member agencies will be provided access to Rachio’s Insight portal to view device configurations and various irrigation data at an anonymous level.
