The Turf Trade Tool was developed by the Turfgrass Water Conservation Alliance and Utah State University Center for Water-Efficient Landscaping in association with the Alliance for Water Efficiency’s Resource Positive Landscapes Project funded by The Scotts Miracle-Gro Foundation. The Turf Trade Tool supported the Salt Lake City Turf Trade Program.

To support the Salt Lake City Turf Trade Program, the Utah State University Center for Water-Efficient Landscaping created informational lawn care videos for residents. Videos demonstrated the use and installation of the lower water use turfgrass seed, including reduction of the turfgrass area to a functional level, installation of climate-appropriate ornamental perennial and woody plants and trees, and efficient irrigation design.
