AWE/EPA Partnership Webinar - Efficient Irrigation Practices for Medians and Park Strips

Speakers will discuss challenges and successes in implementing efficient irrigation practices for medians and park strips. The East Bay Municipal Utility District in Oakland, California, will discuss the challenges of managing drip irrigation on park strips and inclines, as well as opportunities to improve system efficiency. The Oklahoma City (Oklahoma) Utilities Department will address high water pressure and low distribution uniformity across the median and approaches to using WaterSense labeled pressure-regulated spray sprinkler bodies and efficient nozzles to reduce water waste. Finally, Denver (Colorado) Botanic Gardens will discuss plant selection for median and sidewalk strips.
